according to gaming media insider gaming yesterday, nintendo president shuntaro furukawa recently commented on the price hike of the switch 2, stating that the company plans to ease consumer dissatisfaction by strengthening its game lineup.
during an investor conference call, shuntaro furukawa revealed that the company will prepare a “strong” lineup of games to mitigate the various negative effects of the price increase. however, he also noted that the new pricing for the switch 2 does not fully cover all cost increases.
he explained: “we sincerely apologize for the significant inconvenience and frustration this has caused our customers. while we aim to promote widespread adoption of the console, bearing continuously rising costs over the long term has made this very challenging. in fact, the new pricing does not yet reflect all of these cost increases.”
reports indicate that nintendo is developing a “brand-new” version of “star fox 64,” though it appears more like an upgraded remake of the original. meanwhile, players have been eagerly awaiting the rumored remake of “the legend of zelda: ocarina of time.”
